White screen and app closing.
Open the app normally.
It seems that the app does not crash if there is not a logged in account. The crash does happen at the moment of SMS auth code input by the user, during the account log in or creation.
Otherwise, if there was an alredy logged in account, after the update to v8.8/8.8.1, the app does crash at every app opening attempt.

iOS (32 bit), version: 9.3.5
Unfortunately, this issue can’t be fixed on Telegram’s side, as the latest versions of the app require iOS 11+. In order to continue adding new features, Telegram had to move to Apple’s updated developer tools – which no longer support 32-bit devices. The team has requested Apple to roll back the latest update for iOS 9.3 users, but this will only be possible if and when Apple decides to fulfill the request.
iOS 9.3.5
When version 8.8.2 was available I installed it too. None of the two works.
Thanks for help!
Since version 8.9 (today), on iOS 9.3.5 Telegram starts again and I could configure it.
But unfortunately, unfortunately: the App crashes, as soon as I call up a chat...
It is much better, than in version 8.8.3 but unfortunately still unusable at the moment.
The App lauches, all chats will be shown, but a "click" on one chat brings Telegram to crash.
The settings-section and my account-details are shown and the app can be configured. But no content of chats will be shown...
