Hello Telegram devs. I would really like to make Telegram my main platform to teach my classes to my students and also to hold business meetings with my partners and colleagues.
A feature that is missing for Telegram to be complete in both criteria, Education and Business, is the availability of us Telegram users to have a Collaborative Whiteboard with some restriction controls in the power of the host (who opened the video call or created/Started the Board shared).
That is, the resources for other users to interact on the board must be enabled one by one by the host. (This prevents users from modifying and editing resources on the board randomly and without consent).
All the necessary features for a decent frame that must have in this feature are shown in summary in the image shown. But with some necessary modifications compared to other infinite collaborative frameworks.
An interesting feature added to this collaborative board feature is the ability for each user to create and edit their own board before sharing on a video call, through each user's personal tab, Saved Messages.
a) Within the insert media menu, there will be a button called "Whiteboard".
b) When pressed, the messages and chats are listed on the main page. This will show the different frames created or shared in video calls. You can then create, access, edit, share and delete frames.
c) When on a video call, the host shares the board, shows granular control options, whoever on the call can be an editor, collaborator and viewer.
Editor = Both on and off the call, once the host has shared this contact as an editor, you can edit the board at any time, accessing the saved messages tab, whiteboard and accessing the shared board in the list.
Collaborator = Only in a video call and active session with the host will users be able to access the board for editing. But it will only be possible to view the frames outside of an active session with the host (frame creator).
Viewer = You can only view the board.
d) The creator of the board may also restrict to any of these categories (editor, collaborator and viewer) whether users can export (image, pdf, template) or share via link of the board or forward to contacts not authorized by the host.
All the changes done in the board should be registered.
The frames will be hosted on Telegram servers, as will the content sent to saved messages. Because of this, there would be a certain limitation due to the use of Telegram's servers resources. For premium users the number of individul boards to create would be up to 15. For non-premium users, up to 5 individual boards would be a reasonable amount.
Why add a feature like this to Telegram? For education, teachers and tutors will be able to plan more attractive and interactive classes with their students and all this through the powerful Telegram platform and all these resources in one place.
For businesses, collaborative boards are very effective tools for brainstorming and making joint decisions, presenting ideas, reports, strategic organization charts, among others.
Adding a resource like this to the entire community will be a game changer with the use of expensive and limiting third-party services. With this feature, many would consider subscribing to the premium plan as well.
Very interesting and needed! Please Devs! Add it on the nexts updates!!!
Gabriel
