Open any chat or channel containing a video with subtitles/captions.
Start playing the video in portrait mode (vertical orientation) and verify that subtitles are visible at the bottom.
Rotate the device to landscape mode (horizontal orientation) to watch the video in full screen.
Current result
When the screen is rotated to landscape mode, the video scaling becomes too large, causing the subtitles to be cut off or entirely pushed off the screen.
Expected result
The video should scale properly in landscape mode without cutting off the bottom area, ensuring that subtitles remain fully visible. Alternatively, a zoom/aspect-ratio toggle should be available to scale down the video when necessary.
Workaround
Do a slight swipe up gesture while in landscape mode to scale the video correctly.
Issue: Video playback does not properly respect screen and system gesture insets.
Opening a video defaults to fullscreen Fill, stretching/cropping the bottom where subtitles appear. Switching to Fit/letterbox and swiping up causes the bottom of the video/subtitles to overlap with the system gesture navigation bar.
Expected: Subtitles remain fully visible, and the video layout respects the system gesture inset.
Actual: Default Fill mode crops subtitles; Fit mode can still cause subtitles/video content to overlap the gesture bar.
The scaling of video playback still does not work properly. Video does not go to fullscreen property and leaves a black bar under the video, which does not happen in older version (12.7.3 and before).

Please consider this for a future UX/layout fix.
