Open any chat or channel containing a video with subtitles/captions.
Start playing the video in portrait mode (vertical orientation) and verify that subtitles are visible at the bottom.
Rotate the device to landscape mode (horizontal orientation) to watch the video in full screen.
Current result
When the screen is rotated to landscape mode, the video scaling becomes too large, causing the subtitles to be cut off or entirely pushed off the screen.
Expected result
The video should scale properly in landscape mode without cutting off the bottom area, ensuring that subtitles remain fully visible. Alternatively, a zoom/aspect-ratio toggle should be available to scale down the video when necessary.
Workaround
Do a slight swipe up gesture while in landscape mode to scale the video correctly.
I am experiencing an issue when watching videos in landscape fullscreen mode on my Redmi Note 15 Pro+. The video automatically appears zoomed/cropped to fill the screen, causing the subtitles at the bottom to be partially cut off.
I can temporarily zoom out using gestures, but the video returns to the zoomed/cropped view afterward. Double-tapping also toggles the zoom, but the default behavior seems inconsistent.
This issue makes it difficult to watch movies with subtitles in fullscreen mode. Please investigate the video scaling/aspect ratio behavior on HyperOS devices.

I am still experiencing this issue on a Redmi Note 15 Pro+ running HyperOS. Videos in landscape mode are automatically zoomed/cropped, causing subtitles near the bottom of the screen to be cut off. The issue is reproducible in the latest Telegram Android app.
