When I send a message in Russian while using the English interface, Telegram for macOS automatically converts parts of the message into dates or times after sending it, without asking for confirmation. This does not happen on Android or PC.
Sometimes, the conversion produces incorrect and corrupted text. For example:
через 1 год becomes in 60 minutes
через 1 год = через 60 минут becomes через in 60 minutes in 60 minutes60 минут
I would prefer this automatic conversion not to happen, as it does not occur on other platforms. If the feature is retained, it should work correctly and consistently. Alternatively, the converted date or time should at least use the language of the chat, as the Translate feature does. Telegram appears capable of recognizing the language being used.
I tried to attach a video demonstrating the issue, but my 5 MB MP4 file was rejected as an invalid file type.
Steps to reproduce
Open any chat.
Start typing a message in Russian while the English interface localization is enabled.
Press Enter to send the message.
Observe that the sent message is automatically post-processed, with parts of the text converted into dates or times.
Current result
Russian text is automatically converted into English date or time expressions after sending. In some cases, the conversion also corrupts the original message by duplicating or mixing text in different languages.
Expected result
Messages should be sent without unwanted automatic date or time conversions. If automatic conversion is retained, it should work correctly and consistently and use the language of the chat.
