In the latest version of Telegram for Android from the Google Play Store — non-premium users can't post stories in groups that are:
Boosted
They are administrators in (with appropriate rights to add stories)
This problem is reproduced in with the phone and chat that are shown in details and in the attached screenshot, and at least one more group, that I'm a part of.
I couldn't reproduce the same bug with the Direct build of the app (from the telegram.org website).
What I have tried (not actually me, other users, with my “guidance”):
Reopen the app (in the case shown in the screenshot) ❌
Boost group a day (or so) in advance (in another group) ❌
Use direct build of the app (in a third group with another account, that doesn't have premium, and never did) ✅
P.S. If you need any more information — I'll gladly help you out.
Steps to reproduce
Install Telegram from Google Play Store;
Go to a boosted group, in which you have permissions to post stories;
Try to add a story, as a non-premium user;
Fail. (supposedly)
Device info
Android 14, Google Pixel 6a, 10.8.0 (Google Play Store build)
P.P.S. I couldn't verify if the problem on my device, even with the store build. But this issue exists for (at least) 3 other people, I have contacted.
