I have a suggestion for a small issue that Telegram recorded video calls has! I don't know if this is possible to do it but if it is, please! This would be great having it! Part of this suggestions would be a continuance of this suggestion that I made before: Integration of the chat and video call interface #16890
1º) When we do a video call and we share screen to participants, we can't see them while we sharing. This is bad, even more for work, and study groups. You can't have visual feedback from them without needing to get back to the app again and see them talking. Being able to resize the thumbnail window too like in Zoom app meetings. (Example in the short video).
2º) When the video call is recorded, an issue that often happens is exactly those thumbnails video over the content shared. This compromise for everyone that wants to rewatch the video call again and try to read and see what is been shown in the presentation because a video webcam window is hovering over the content. The solution would be:
When Telegram server is rendering the video and audio, would be possible to render it if the video call has screen sharing content activated, to divide the video layout in a specific way like it's shown in the image examples? A section is dedicated to the screen-shared content, and the other part of the video is just the participant's webcams. (This avoids those hovering webcam thumbnails over the content and it remains the participants' webcams visible on the recorded video).
3º) An important feature that needs to be on Telegram, it's the suggestion I gave on that top link. Integrate the video call page with the chat. This is needed for many reasons.
One of them is the participant need to be on the video call, or presentation participating, but it doesn't have a mic working or any kind of sound issue, at least the person can interact via chat visible to everyone in the video call. Not needing to get out the video call to check if someone texted in the group.
Including this easy way to see if someone is texting on the video call, for those who are presenting or screen sharing, the possibility for the presenter to read the text sent too. Like a pop-up message on the screen with the name of the participant. (When happens that, if the video call is been recorded, this message wouldn't appear in the recorded content. Just for the presenter in live on that video call).
4º) Acceptance permission for participants to enter the video call. This is a feature that is missing on Telegram video calls, and it's very important to implement it.
Another interesting feature too to implement with it, it allows the video call host (the one who started the video call) to delegate some admins tools for some participants too. These admins tools would allow not just the host but these admins to control many things on the video call like:
Mic of participants (mute or unmute)
Webcam (turn on or turn off, if some participant it's been unpolite or is having inappropriate behavior)
Interaction tools (granted to users tools to interact with the video call, like pen, marker, and text over the presentation. Suggestions that I gave it here too: Improvement on Video Calls Urgently! #27683).
Acceptance or decline of participants to the video call.
