I've been having a bug for quite a while now on Ubuntu 16.04 64bit with up-to-date Telegram client (several months),
where the mouse scrolling inside chats stops working after I resume my computer from standby. Not always immediately, though, if I remember correcty (I now always restart Telegram right away, so not sure).
The problem is solved immediately by restarting Telegram, so no biggie, but still.
My Telegram auto-updates always, but the bug remains.
Everything else works fine on my computer including mousewheel, so it's definitely Telegram.
Note: I use auto-lock in Telegram, so Telegram comes up locked after resume.
Haven't tested without it, but if I lock manually, there seems to be no problem (tested just now).
Best regards,
Maximilian Lang
Steps to reproduce
1.Send Ubuntu into standby
2. resume Ubuntu.
3 unlock Telegram
4 open a chat
5 try to scroll messages with the mousewheel
6 bug: NO SCROLLING POSSIBLE (scrolling via sidebar keeps working, though)
7 (bug may take a while to appear)
Note: i have got xbindkeys installed in Ubuntu. But I havent manipulated the function scrollwheel in any way there.
