Being able to delete your own messages can be handy at times, but ancient history is most useful as something to refer back to, and should be preserved. I feel it would make more sense for message deleting to be limited to a certain amount of time after the message is posted. It could be a few minutes, it could be a few days, but a limit feels important. If you keep a conversation around because it has a lot of good information, then someone decides years later that it isn't worth anything to them and they delete their messages, they've ruined part of the experience for you.
Proposal:
Allow the message deletion limit to be decided by the group admin, or by the individuals in a conversation. The limit could be hours, days, or never. Changing the limit could notify everyone in the group, or require agreement in one-on-one conversations.
Controlling your chat history should apply to both parties, not just the one who wants to delete it.
It used to be this way: "The “Unsend” feature we introduced 2 years ago worked only for messages sent by you and only for 48 hours. Now you can “unsend” messages you have received as well, and there is no time limit." I prefer it the way it is now.
Why do you like it? I don't see what benefit it adds, it just gives the ability to destroy chat history.

The interlocutor can delete the message that is evidence in any dispute. This is especially important for the commercial environment in providing message security. I believe that the chat administrator should set the message deletion rule and when this rule changes, all participants receive notifications

I'd be okay with the deletion limit being configurable per-conversation or group.

There definitely needs to be some kind of change. The ability for a long-time contact with years of messaging history who one day turns into a jerk and arbitrarily deletes years of history for the other person is unacceptable.

It is necessary to add the function of deleting old messages, there are accumulated messages that are more than a year old and it is unrealistic to delete them manually. Why do you need restrictions (100 messages at a time) to delete unwanted messages? Aren't storage base economics important to you? Group admins for Ads may have problems with this. Indeed, in a year, many people can change their number, and forgotten irrelevant ads are still available for search. Please add the ability to delete messages by age in the group and channel settings for owners.
