Round video message recording stops when switching from the front camera to the rear camera on OnePlus 15 with experimental Camera2 settings enabled.
This is a regression introduced in a recent Telegram update. Camera switching previously worked at maximum quality and 60 FPS on this device. Recording now stops when switching cameras, even at 30 FPS.
The logs indicate that the Camera2 capture session configuration fails during the camera switch, followed by an encoder frame-rate fallback error. Telegram then enters the ERROR state and terminates the recording.
Steps to reproduce
Start recording a round video message.
Switch to the rear camera while recording, a couple of times.
Current result
Recording stops when switching from the front camera to the rear camera. The Camera session configuration fails, followed by an encoder frame-rate fallback error, causing recording to enter the ERROR state.

Expected result
Switching from the front camera to the rear camera during round video message recording should not terminate the recording. Camera switching should continue to work at the supported quality and frame-rate settings, as it did in previous versions.
IMPORTANT! you hold down Telegram version, open these dev settings, scroll down and turn on "experimental features". here, you'll have round video. TURN OFF CAMERA2 RECORDER and see if it helps
Device: Honor Magic 6 Pro OS: Android / MagicOS App Version: Latest official Direct APK (from telegram.org) Description of the bug: There is a critical crash when recording video messages (round videos). Initially, when recording started from the front camera, tapping the button to switch to the rear camera caused the app to instantly crash and completely delete the unsaved video message. Steps already taken that DID NOT help: 1. Completely uninstalled and reinstalled the app from the Google Play Store. 2. Cleared the system cache, reset the camera app data, and toggled camera permissions in Android settings. 3. Accessed the Telegram Debug Menu and tried changing "Use Camera2 API" and "Disable internal camera". (Disabling the internal camera completely removes the video message icon, making it impossible to switch from voice to video). 4. Toggled the "Hide dual camera" option in the Debug menu and restarted the app. 5. Completely deleted the Play Store version and installed the official Direct APK from telegram.org/android. Current situation after installing the Direct APK: The issue has now inverted. When I start recording a video message, it automatically initializes and records from the rear (main) camera first. However, the moment I tap the button to switch to the front (selfie) camera to show my face, the application immediately crashes and deletes the recorded message. It seems to be a deep codec or initialization conflict between Telegram's video processing engine and the Honor Magic 6 Pro's dual front-facing camera system (which includes a 3D TOF sensor). Please look into this model-specific camera bug.
