Many Telegram users try bots for a short period and later decide they no longer want to use them. However, some bots do not provide a /stop command or any clear way to permanently unsubscribe.
As a result, users may continue receiving promotional or automated messages even after they have stopped using the bot. The only reliable solution is often to block the bot, which is not always what users want.
I suggest that Telegram require all bots to support a standard /stop or unsubscribe mechanism, or provide a built-in Telegram option that allows users to completely revoke a bot's ability to send them messages without blocking it.
Benefits:
• Better user control over bot communications.
• Reduced spam and unwanted promotional messages.
• Improved privacy and transparency.
• A more consistent experience across all Telegram bots.
This small change would give users greater control over their accounts while maintaining Telegram's bot ecosystem.
I support this and even i complained avout it before

I had requested this a long time ago and recently I received a notification that my suggestion has been merged to this one. I strongly support this. I hope Telegram will make it happen soon enough.
