If the browser violently crashes (e.g. in a sudden power surge or system running out of RAM and bulk-terminating processes), Telegram web version could be left with a corrupt internal storage state that it's unable to recover from. Opening the web app after such an event results in the user being shown a plain white screen with nothing else and in order to restore the functionality a full wipe of site storage and a re-login are required.
For obvious reasons, reproducing such a violent browser shutdown on purpose and recording it is complicated - I tried to do it by sending different signals (SIGINT, SIGQUIT, SIGKILL) to the browser, but to no avail - so I can't attach a video of this happening, sadly
Steps to reproduce
Use the Telegram web app on a PC that's plugged directly into your house's power socket
Have a bad electricity provider and experience a sudden power surge
Restart your PC once the power is up, observe the web app not working and complaining about the internal browser storage in the console.
Maybe I could yank the power cord from the socket to reproduce this but my PC isn't worth this bugreport 😅 If I find a better scenario I will report it in this issue
