Telegram clients do not follow the ipv6-first (ipv6-preferred) policy.
According to the source code of the Telegram for Android app, it does not support enabling the ipv6-first policy. It has this functionality (added 10 years ago), but there is no way to enable it.
Some other clients (like Telegram Desktop) support enabling the ipv6-first policy (Telegram Desktop: Settings -> Advanced -> Experimental settings -> Prefer IPv6, added 19 Dec 2024, 0f283c4).
First, all clients should be able to enable the ipv6-first policy.
But I think this policy should be enabled by default, since most other places (like browsers and even just getaddrinfo) have had the ipv6-first policy for years.
