Firefox (88.0 64bit up-to-date) on a company managed Win10 machine.
WebZ is not keeping information across Sessions, including Login.
This means every time a new tab is opened (even without Restart of the browser, even when WebZ is already opened and logged-in in another tab) WebZ would need a new login (both for Phone-Number and QR-code based - 2FA is enabled for my account), even when "Keep my signed in" is checked.
Also changing the background image is not persisted and resets back to the default. I haven't tried other changes yet.
Steps to reproduce
Open webz.telegram.org with Firefox/Win10
Log in, do check "keep me signed in"
optionally change the background image
Optionally close the tab.
Optionally close the browser.
Open webz.telegram.org again -> login is gone, need to login again
Log in -> background image is back to default
I've a few Plugins for Firefox. I just tested disabling all of them. Behaviour is the same. Looking at the console, I see lots of "yellow" lines (warnings), though I get similar ones after I log in, so unsure if they hint at the cause. Not sure I can attach more than one screenshot here. A selection: Failed to retrieve or parse session from storage QuotaExceededError: The current transaction exceeded its quota limitations. Exception { name: "NS_ERROR_FILE_NO_DEVICE_SPACE", message: "", result: 2152857616, filename: "", lineNumber: 0, columnNumber: 0, data: null, stack: "" } Additionally I once saw a failed connection to pluto.telegram.org - though that as well was when I was logged in, not during the "new tab, requires re-login"-phase.
Lastly I tried in Chrome. It seems to work there. Unfortunately Chrome is my "Test-Browser" which get's cleaned regularly, so for persistent login sessions I would be back at square one :)

Same problem here. When I open WebZ in a new tab, I can still see the messages, and then the app redirects to the login screen. Using Brave Browser here, latest version (based on Chromium 90). Legacy version (web.telegram.org) always worked well. Also not using it in a private window obviously.

Also, even when I am sometimes still logged in, it happened recently that WebZ 'forgets' my Dark Mode settings, just like your background image settings are lost.

There is a possible soution from another user:
> Ok, this warning led me to clearing site storage in Firefox for some other domains (the old web.telegram.org still used up 2 GB of data) and after a browser restart this problem went away so now I'm staying logged in.
Zefiro Anthragon, Eno Thiemann, please let me know if this helps.

Unfortunately, doesn't help in my case. I cleared my browser data entirely, but the re-login on page refresh still remains.
Not in my case, unfortunately. Let Firefox forget web., webz. and webk. - still no dice, a reload of the page requests a new login. webk though works fine!

Eno, are you seeing any errors in the browser console?
When I log in, after entering my phone number: [2021-05-12T20:18:55.071Z] [WARN] - [Connection closed while receiving data] cf3722ebfff48599e1c1.worker.js:2:186710 After login: [2021-05-12T20:19:07.797Z] [ERROR] - [Error: Not connected] cf3722ebfff48599e1c1.worker.js:2:186710 After re-freshing the page (at the login screen again): DOMException: Node.replaceChild: Child to be replaced is not a child of this node Spinner.tsx:21:15
I hope that helps!

And after the latest DOMException, are you still able to sign it?
