Videos can still be watched in Picture-In-Picture mode
Devices running iOS 14, 15, 16 or 17 are affected
I’m unable to play any video after release of the latest update. I have cleared cache, deleted and reinstalled app, restarted phone, and change settings and still can’t play. I can hear but can’t watch the video. This is on an iPhone 8 with up to date OS version.
Playing any video in any chat or channel. It’s not a saved video but one in channel that is posted. Everything was fine until the latest update 11.5 I believe

But ok, it doesn’t matter now. I’ve found how to fix the current problem – reinstall the app (twice). Now it’s okay (as it was - so-so) about video. As I guess it was just kinda another unexplainable individual glitch (and maybe it wasn’t produced / caused only by the TG app – I also have big unpleasant questions to Apple guys (which aren’t “IT superpowered” as well)).
And thus, I delete all my previous two comments (hoping everything will be okay).
