MKV and WEBM are also video files, but Telegram "doesn't know" that.
I would like to ask you, Telegram developers, to consider including video files with the MKV and WEBM extension as what they really are, VIDEO files, and not as if they were any ordinary document. You should also use the cover file embedded in the MKV or WEBM file as the cover of the video. It would also be interesting for Telegram to fully support videos with the AOMedia AV1 codec and Opus audio, on all devices where Telegram can run. Telegram should not consider a video only if it has the MP4 extension.
