Now with the new video calling feature in Telegram, a feature that would crush the competition from messaging apps is to at least similarly make available the zoom platform, a whiteboard to sketch ideas while chatting with friends, or even use the platform as a means of attending and teaching.
There is also a feature to save each frame and at the end of the video, call save all frames in a zip file and sent to the "Saved Messages" tab. And of course, if you can put an option to record the video call and save it to "Saved Messages" automatically from whoever is the "host" of the meeting. The competition would completely lose. Even because Telegram is already more than a simple messaging application.
Even though there may be limited time on video calls, but also considerable time for example 1 hour and 30 minutes (up to 30 people). Making the recording of the video call, if you don't activate the recording, it would be unlimited.
I would very much like the whiteboard functionality in telegram calls. I am a teacher and then I would be able to use telegram group calls to conduct online lessons.
- Another feature that could be added too, it's for the host of the video call could allow participants to use the pen tool too. For exemple, in classes as @Maxim Karpenko and me uses telegram too, for teaching, this tool would allow us to interact more with students on video calls... ask them to select something that we're sharing screen for the class... to answer something, etc... - A tool that would be really interesting to implement together with the video call, it's to set up a group of polls within the video call. (Would be an option in settings of video call page like: Enable polls in video call? And set all polls before the video call started. The host of video call could trigger each poll with a bottom bellow the video call between the mic, share screen, if this poll was enable before the video call.
The Design to show out these polls would be a third column between the main presentation and the small video windows of participants. Where participants can vote alive the poll during the call.
At the end! If the video call was being recorded, the audio, video, files and the polls would be saved in a zip file and sent to "Saved Messages" as being done so far!
