Telegram wasn't accepting the 2FA password I had set because while resetting it on mobile I had to switch between my password manager and Telegram, and it reset the Telegram "activity" to the default, losing my progress in resetting my password, I reset the password again and this time skipped the password manager and used a less secure temporary password, when I immediately went from the success page to reset the password to the value from my password manager, it popped up a message that said "TELEGRAM_PASSWORD_SRP" or something like that. I was able to get into the web on one device, but attempting to do the same on another device it kept pushing me back to the QR/setup page even though it actually showed the conversation list once. I switched to /k/ and was able to get logged in via phone number and my temporary password. I went back into the mobile app and reset the password again to my password manager's value and this time it seems to have stuck, but I haven't tried logging into web on a new device again yet.
Steps to reproduce
reset the password
immediately went from the success page to reset the password to the value from my password manager (on Android), it popped up a message that said "TELEGRAM_PASSWORD_SRP" or something like that
attempting to log into the web client on one device worked, on another device it kept pushing me back to the QR/setup page even though it actually showed the conversation list once
switched to /k/ and used phone number + temporary password to login
back in mobile app reset the password to password manager saved value and this time it worked, haven't tested fresh login of /k/ or /z/
