Dear Facegram... Quick reactions is an annoying useless feature that just gluts the overall look and feel of the whole chat area UX/UI. Please add an option to disable that feature totally for the individual view in groups and for private chats where it is disabled totally if one of the two users disabled it. It's so damn annoying... maybe quit making a messenger a bad social media platform. Telegram gets more and more glutted with stupid features. You'd better do something regarding privacy concerns and neo-nazi groups and channels instead of adding goofy features that nobody really needs.
Imagine you reading a channel and you don't want the channel owner to know you read it.
The system, in principle, is designed to allow it.
But lo and behold, every minute or so, the gesture is misinterpreted and here's a thumbs-up you didn't want so please go and remove it! Hopefully, nobody noticed.
This is awful UX. If you insist it should be the default, at least make the damn flag.
I use reactions a lot and you always want to pick one anyway, and never just double tap.
Talk about people apparently not using their own product.

And just an idea in case you collect analytics and see that people use quick reactions: make sure to track how many of those get removed right after. Just go to analytics settings and check once again that you track it.

Hi, same here: add a thumbs up by accident while scrolling. Happens all the time. Very annoying and fraught with problems. Came across this thread while I was looking for a possible solution. Please add an option to disable this feature.

Please let us disable quick reactions. This is an accessibility issue for me — I keep accidentally reacting to posts, sometimes wildly inappropriately, whenever I'm experiencing motor control issues.

Horrible "feature". This is an accessibility issue, clearly, this sorely needs a toggle and should be off by default if anything.

That’s exactly how I see it. Please remove or give an option to disable this feature.

Why is it taking so long to add a setting that just disables quick reactions?

I'm starting to think this is just a maneuver from social media apps to push quick reactions as the norm, you see them everywhere nowadays...
