I really do wish that Telegram would reconsider putting up sponsored ads in channels. I've always kept it as my safe zone while the rest of the internet is saturated with ads.
If the ads are going to stay, it'd be nice to at least give channel admins the power to chose which ads show up on their channel. Or possibly even give channels the option to opt out of sponsored ads. Making the ads more distinct from regular posts would be nice too. Thank you

I'd also like to add that one alternative could involve a subscription plan (yearly or monthly) to avoid ads, and have control over what ads (if any) get shown on channels run by you. I do believe that the folks who run telegram deserve to get payed for their hard work, but having the option to opt out of ads would be awesome.
I think no matter what country the account is registered in. channel owners in any country will be able to disable ads

I still want the curation of ads tho. Like, moderation of the ads so that we don't get things like "Hey come buy TON from Telegram!" but it's not actually Telegram 🤷♀️

I don't think there should be any kind of sponsored ads or sponsored content of any kind on telegram.

I am in agreement about allowing some kind of filtering… maybe allow a channel owner to decline specific ads for their channel with a notice of when it will appear, in favor of some placeholder for Telegram owned content? Such as a blurb to check out the twitter for telegram or something? I understand Telegram needs to be monetized, but this very well may devolve into a situation where I am no longer comfortable suggesting this application to my friends if it is implemented as-planned.
