Show a button for sending quick donations to maintainers of bots, groups or channels using cryptocurrency. This could use either an established cryptocurrency like Bitcoin, Etherium, EOS, etc. – or some version of TON, like Free TON etc.
BTCpayserver might be ideal for this. I've been thinking about it recently too.
Free TON 👍
Because the original proposal was: use Free TON as an integrated Telegram currency, and most people are here to implement the strongest, fastest and most decentralized cryptocurrency, btc and others secondary
Free TON 🦄
It would be great if Telegram did cryptocurrency integration! It is the most popular communication platform for the most blockchain projects
I dont know why everyone needs bitcoin and crypto everywhere. Telegram is a messaging app!
Telegram already created its own blockchain and cryptocurrency with an ecosystem of services called Telegram Open Network (TON) https://ton.org/. The US governament blocked it without any real reason, just politics https://telegra.ph/What-Was-TON-And-Why-It-Is-Over-05-12. The freeTON project is the unofficial successor and one of the most promising blockchain (at the moment the best performing one).
If you have money in a bank account, that money does not belong to you, it belongs to the bank and if you want to freeze the account or delete it, they have the right and permission to do so whenever they want. With Cryptocurrencies it is detracted, nobody controls it, which is impossible to Hack and you do not need a Bank you can keep your crypto on your PC yourself.
If you send $ 1000 usd, the bank can freeze your account for suspicious actions and they could also charge you a large % commission for the transfer
Imagine that a cryptocurrency is like Gold but this time it is virtual gold, people before changed physical gold and it had more value and importance than money controlled by the bank, now it is the same but virtual :D hahahah

We all now have a hope because the message at https://t.me/durovschat/605933 reads: “We will make it possible to donate not only to Telegram, but also to channel owners. Working on it” (apparently sent by Pavel Durov).
I believe it might also be useful if we could donate not only to a channel (as a whole) but also to individual messages in that channel. Interface-wise this could be envisioned as some coin icon (accompanied by the counter of donations) next to the existing eye icon (accompanied by the counter of views) and be analogous to the usual positive reaction (a “like”) in social media; however, unlike that usual “likes”, every donation is “a monetary like” and thus it does not invite “💯‼️” (or similar) comments from people who wish they had a hundred likes instead of only one like (on the contrary, a “monetary like” does actually offer a real option to donate 10× or 100× greater lump of money than usual).
Such counters under messages, interactively increasing after new donations, shall bring some “gamification” to the system and further incentivize the donations by its “material” (albeit virtual) representation of the thought “every donation counts”.
A donation related to the message (instead of the whole channel) also means that the author won't have to make a guess (sometimes a wrong guess) why exactly she's being donated to. Such guess is fairly common in subscription-based media where the publisher sometimes does not have a clue about the real reason behind the waves of people subscribing or unsubscribing and thus sometimes has to trust the vocal minority that provides some feedback in comments (and that minority might be right or wrong). Message-related donations at least would bring much clearer feedback to messages' authors. The availability of such clearer feedback, in turn, might stop some authors from choosing paywalls over donations (after all, you can get only a weekly or a monthly total feedback behind a paywall), and that stop is a good thing (it would keep Telegram an open place).

P. S. More detailed rationale behind my suggestion of message-related donations is available in Russian (slightly outdated, 1 year old, before TON project was over):
