A critical bug occurred when the Telegram Desktop client (Client A) was abruptly terminated (due to a Windows system update/reboot) while in a 1-on-1 voice call. This ungraceful termination automatically and unpromptedly triggered a synchronized "Delete History for Both Sides" command accepted by the server.
Effect & Scope (Severe Data Loss)
Result: The entire 5-year private chat history was instantly and permanently deleted for both users across ALL clients (Desktop/Android). The conversation now appears as "History is empty," confirming a catastrophic, server-side removal.
Detailed Sequence of Events (Steps to Reproduce)
Client A (Desktop) and Client B (Android) connected via Voice Call.
Windows OS on Client A initiated an abrupt system update/restart.
The Telegram Desktop process terminated mid-call.
The call ended suddenly for Client B (Android).
Immediately upon the crash/termination, Client B received a synchronized command marking the entire chat history as deleted.
Request for Investigation
This severe flaw in client/server synchronization must be addressed. An abrupt client termination should never execute a "Delete All History" command for both users. We urgently request a core developer to investigate server logs for the two affected accounts and prioritize data recovery.

It seems others are experiencing the same bug - sudden cloud data loss of entire chat history with a particular chat member (I'm curious how many others were in a call that was disconnected unexpectedly when this happened?):

Hopefully telegram looks into this. It's a severe bug, how can we trust our data? My mistake I didn't think to backup entire chat history.
