An option to add intro cards on profiles or customized text and descriptions to profiles via invite links? For instance, if I send someone a link in the proposed format username.t.me/1 (where 1 denotes a template/design number), the user who clicks the link may see a header, a brief bio, links to other websites or services, a random meme or fun fact, etc. on the profile page that opens in the web browser or any Telegram app. If possible, the customization options for these links might be the same as those available when sharing links from private channels, such as time/use limits and other restrictions.
Possible use cases:
When a (potential) client taps a t.me link to send them a message, they are greeted with information such as the works and accomplishments of that freelancer (a sort of portfolio), which helps the client make a decision. It also has the added benefit that the client (or viewer) can be precise since they already know the freelancer's skill/background as put up by users themselves which remains separate from bio texts.
This might be used by a company to provide a brief overview of the products they sell before directing viewers to a Telegram channel where they showcase the goods. Even though businesses can currently use channels, I can't seem to think of a different use case for now. If you have any idea, feel free to add in the comments below.
Students can gain from this as well. I've observed students at various colleges participating in group Telegram discussions with peers from all of their degree programmes. Students can utilise these connections to introduce themselves, their abilities, etc. to other university students. This also applies to anyone introducing themselves in group chats on Telegram.
Users can use this rather than trying to cram everything into a bio. All it takes is a t.me link to work its magic. Other users can link their website/telegra.ph link or a Telegram channel for the same purpose, but my assumption is that this feature, if it is released, can make things customizable and with Telegram's brilliant user interface (custom themes, etc.), this would look much better when compared to Telegraph articles, links to channels, or when compared to any other platforms like LinkedIn.
Additionally, there are some situations when users frequently lose their accounts; as a result, the channel cannot be deleted and the user's information remains until Telegram removes it. This potential feature also shields against such issues.
I feel that developers, freelancers, and individuals alike would benefit most from using this capability to introduce themselves to users who are connecting with them via that specific link for the first time. A pop-up window or a part of the profile page may appear when someone clicks the link to disclose all the information the person wishes to make public.
I'm not sure how well this idea fits Telegram, but if you think it's feasible and sensible to implement it here such that users will use it, feel free to make changes with your own idea before implementing the feature.
p.s: since almost new feature coming up are premium, there are chances that this also be premium.
