An admin in a supergroup attempted to ban a suspicious user who had recently joined, using the "delete all messages" option to remove the join message. Admin logs indicate that they instead deleted roughly 100 messages from the group from a wide variety of users, ranging from recent to over two years old, all of which contained the letter "B". The actual join message was not removed.
Steps to reproduce
Unknown. We've never encountered this issue before, and it's impractical to test in a public group, as the effects of the bug are destructive.
I can provide a link to the group privately if needed.
