I have an iPhone 12 Pro, 256GB. I updated my device to the latest iOS version (26.5). Also, since Telegram was taking up too much storage, I used the "Storage Usage" section in Telegram to clear some space and free up my phone.
After this, and especially after the iOS update, whenever I open Telegram on my iPhone and try to open any chat or long-press on something to open the menu, nothing happens. There’s no error message, and nothing works.
I’ve already tried offloading the app and reinstalling it, but the issue remains. This problem only happens with my account on my iPhone — the same account works fine elsewhere.
Please let me know if you need any more details from me. Right now, Telegram is completely unusable on my iPhone.
Thank you.
Can you please confirm (and double-check) that you completely uninstalled Telegram and not just deleted the app icon or just the app data without completely uninstalling it?
We're confident that in your case, a proper reinstallation would solve the problem.
You need to completely delete the app. Offloading it, it will not be the same and the issue will not be fixed.
Please follow these steps: 1. Tap and hold the app on the Home screen, 2. tap “Remove App”, 3. “Delete App” to delete it from your iPhone.
And then reinstall it.
